Grown from a passion for visual storytelling and new technology, Southern Skies Imaging is an elite aerial photography business serving the southeastern United States.

Ben and Adam saw a unique opportunity to jump in at the beginning of a fast-growing industry. Southern Skies Imaging is a company dedicated to providing the best service to our clients, staying ahead of the curve, and constantly improving our craft.

The Team

We are a family-run team who saw an incredible opportunity to join an industry full of innovation, technical challenges, problem solving, and, most importantly, creativity.

Ben Hicks
Creative Director, Senior Pilot

Ben is a Part 107 certified pilot who has wanted to fly helicopters for the aerial photography industry ever since high school. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 2013 with a degree in Mass Media Arts. He has worked in the video production departments of several organizations, and most recently started his own Video Production company. Although it's not in a big, manned aircraft, Ben is excited to be taking the controls behind the perfect combination of dream and passion.
